When it comes to the favorite musical of teenagers, no one can match “Mean Girls”. The name probably rings a bell, after all, it is the remake of Tina Fey’s famous movie. Just as the movie, the play follows closely the adventures of Cady Heron after she arrives at a suburban high school from the savannahs of Kenya. “Mean Girls” on Broadway is a very popular show not only amongst teenarges but amongst parents, too! The August Wilson Theater is a rather large venue, but it fills its capacity each and every night, so have it in your mind that tickets might be scarce or, if you’re shopping at the last minute – very expensive. This problem has a couple of solutions – looking for more than one ticket provider and doing it at the right time.

The first expected to return are Hamilton, Wicked, or The Phantom. None of them released any statements concerning cancelation. Like mentioned above, Hamilton managed to sustain some stability during the COVID pandemics, so it’s almost certain that it will return. Wicked has the largest venue at its back, and also celebrates an 18th birthday this year, so it’s supposed to return. The Phantom…well, he has been around for so long, so we can’t simply imagine Broadway without it. However, there are plenty of great family activities. Why don’t you rent a bike and have a ride in Central Park? Find additional information on Travel to New York 2021.

Lined with huge, brilliantly lit billboards and screens, Times Square is the place to go in New York in the evening, but still exciting at any time of day. This is the location of New York’s New Year’s Eve Celebrations and the famous “ball drop” at midnight, when the square and surrounding streets are filled with people. Times Square is busy and perpetually crowded but has its own unique appeal. Bleachers set up at one end are a great place to take a break and appreciate the scene. Formerly Longacre Square, Times Square was named in 1904 after the New York Times tower. The newspaper first posted current headlines along its moving sign, the first of its kind in the world, in 1928.

Named Battery Park for the old batteries (cannons) that defended the city, stop here for music and street performers, people-watching, relaxing, and all other park-related activities. You can also explore the ruins of the old fort that kept watch over New York City. Battery Park is large and hectic, but I still love walking through here. There are tremendous views of the harbor, too. Take a photo with the famous bull and then walk to Wall Street and see where all those bankers destroyed the economy. There’s heavy security in the area, but you can sit and watch people whiz in and out of buildings on their way to cause some other financial disaster.
